Are we seeing a “ganging up” against Motion 312?

Are we seeing a “ganging up” against Motion 312?
By Stephen J. Gray

“gang up… an act of ganging up or uniting in opposition to someone or something”

Motion 312
“That a special committee of the House be appointed and directed to review the declaration in Subsection 223(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada which states that a child becomes a human being only at the moment of complete birth and to answer the questions hereinafter set forth;…” [1] (emphasis added)

M.P. Stephen Woodworth’s motion on “when human life begins” has caused an uproar and a frenzy of condemnation and opposition by many politicians, trade union bosses, radical feminists, the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), Canadian gynaecologists and others. What are they all afraid of? Are they terrified of the truth?

"We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark. The real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light." – Plato

Medical and scientific journals tell us that life begins at conception. And anybody who has ever watched their unborn child move around in an ultra sound knows that this is a human life. Doctors even operate on the child in the womb if there is a problem that needs to be fixed. See link below:

And then you have the abortionists who slaughter the babies who “need” to be killed if unwanted. What a sick society we have become. We even call the killing of these innocents “freedom of choice.” Surely that is a perversion of words and speech!
See the atrocities committed on the innocents here: www.unmaskingchoice.ca

And then you have a “pro-life MP” who supports motion 312, but also reportedly “supports the ‘government position’ to not introduce the ‘issue of abortion.’”

“Where the speech is corrupted, the mind is also.” –Seneca

One has to wonder what is going on in the “brains” of this collection of strange bedfellows: Conservatives, Liberals, NDPers, union bosses, radical feminists and doctors opposed to discussing “when life begins.”

The CMA is opposed to motion 312 and never asked all their members before taking their bizarre stand against it. Journalist Brian Lilley at Sun News had an excellent article on his blog headlined: “I can’t believe these people are doctors” and wrote this about the CMA:

“There is a simple reason a group of doctors would not want such a debate. The science is clear, life begins at conception. Abortion ends a human life.” [2]

Of course thinking people know that and those in positions of power should know that. But, when it comes to taking a principled and honest position, many run from the medical and scientific evidence, their ethics (if they have any) and their responsibility to investigate and debate this subject.

In fact, any talk about discussing “when human life begins” appears to have our “science based” P.M. Stephen Harper running for cover. He is on record as saying: "In my case, I will be voting against the motion.” I guess his views on “science based” evidence only apply when he wants to look politically good. The Toronto Star of August 21, 2012 had the headline: “Stephen Harper wants to streamline environmental oversight,” the article quoted Mr. Harper as saying,

We need thorough, balanced science-based assessments conducted on a timely basis according to the principle of one project, one review,” Harper said. [3]

Well, Mr. Harper, here is one project that needs a “review”: when life begins. Yet, you and other politicians and medical professionals, along with union bosses who claim to speak for all their compulsory members, wish to stop any discussion on “when human life begins.”

This can only mean you are all afraid of free speech and of facing up to the truth, which is, “science based,” that life begins at conception. And that would mean all of those opposed are guilty of self imposed ignorance to protect the abomination called “choice” on killing by abortion. Truly, there are none as blind as those who do not wish to see. I believe the quote below aptly sums up what is happening in our country today:

“The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil; but because of the people who don't do anything about it.”
Albert Einstein

Are Politicians Afraid to Discuss When Life Begins?

Are Politicians Afraid to Discuss When Life Begins?
By Stephen J. Gray

“Conservative MP Stephen Woodworth's motion proposing that a parliamentary committee study the legal definition of when life begins got zero support from MPs who debated it Thursday.” [1]

Surely in a so-called “parliamentary democracy” any issue should be open for discussion. But it appears that discussing when human life begins is a no, no in the “house of democracy?” Why is this? The answer to that question is: If life begins at conception, and medical journals tell us this is so, then a huge number of politicians and others will be party to state sanctioned killing by abortion by supporting “choice.”  Many of them are known to parrot the banal slogan, “we believe in freedom of choice.” Their “choice” of course never describes the victim who is cut to pieces, killed by a saline solution or born alive and left to die if unwanted; because Canada, the “civilized country” has no law on abortion. The child in the womb can be slaughtered right up to the moment of birth. Then when it’s born, it magically becomes a human life. What was it before? A carrot, a turnip, an apple or an orange! Of course not, but hey, this is Canada where discussing the beginnings of life is taboo because killing by abortion is acceptable and human life is disposable.  Therefore, the issue must continue to be hidden from the light of truth.

"What have they to fear from the full flood of light? Why oppose a mere study?" [Stephen] Woodworth said.
"If you care about the truth you will courageously follow the facts wherever they lead. Canadians expect parliamentarians to embody that courage, that strength, that principled quest for the truth," he said. [1]

Truth has become a victim along with the unborn child in Canada. If truth prevailed the slaughtered victims of abortion would be on the front pages of daily newspapers in full bloody color. If truth prevailed in Canada the TV news would be showing the atrocities committed on these innocent victims murdered by abortion. If truth prevailed in Canada politicians and other professionals would condemn the barbarous practice of state sanctioned abortion. Instead we have hypocrisy and the refusal by those in power to act in an honourable and decent manner.

“Earlier in the day Prime Minister Stephen Harper said he will not support the [Woodworth] motion.” (CBC News of April 26, 2012.)

"In my case, I will be voting against the motion," Harper said. [1](emphasis added)
Is that a cowardly response from Stephen Harper? This is the same Mr. Harper who said this about a proposed oil pipeline.
“The only way that governments can handle controversial projects of this manner is to ensure that things are evaluated on an independent basis scientifically,…” [2]
Yet, there is scientific and medical evidence that life begins at conception, but Mr. Harper does not want to discuss the issue, not even “scientifically?”  Are pipelines more important than human life to Mr. Harper?

Stephen Harper is not the only political leader to be against Mr. Woodworth’s motion.
The CBC News of April 26, 2012, stated: “Harper was asked during question period by NDP Leader Tom Mulcair why he was allowing Woodworth and other members of his caucus to reopen the debate on abortion.”[1] (emphasis added)
The CBC news of April 26, 2012 also stated:
“NDP Leader Tom Mulcair said no one in his caucus supports the motion but he plans to whip the vote, or force his MPs to vote along party lines.
"We're resolutely in favour of women's right to choose, so it's very clear for us, and we are absolutely opposed to this motion of Mr. Woodworth," he said.” [1A]

It would appear that killing by abortion is a closed subject and must not be reopened.  Why is this? Surely, any issue should be open for debate as more knowledge on the subject becomes known? But no, as I said earlier discussion on abortion is forbidden and the slaughter must continue and the truth on the beginning of human life must not be discussed. So much for free speech in Canada and the practice of democracy by a party that calls itself “democratic.”

Anyway Stephen Woodworth’s Motion 312, according to the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada (ARCC) is “coming up for a second round of debate on Sept 21 and a vote on Sept 26.” [3] It will be interesting to see how many MPs have the courage to vote in favour of Motion 312. After all, what could be wrong with finding out the truth of when life begins?  For as conservative M.P. Jason Kenney was quoted as saying while introducing Harper to, “Partisan supporters” in Mississauga, Ontario.
“We as Canadians have a special vocation, a special responsibility, to speak truth to power. To be a voice for the voiceless,...”[4] Jason Kenney

So will MPs have the courage to be a voice for the voiceless” on Motion 312, or will they continue to ignore the truth that life begins at conception and hide and cower from their responsibilities to protect the helpless innocents slaughtered by abortionists?

The Proposed Takeover of Nexen by Chinese Communists (SOE) And The Dismantling of The Canadian Wheat Board(CWB)

The Proposed Takeover of Nexen by Chinese Communists (SOE) And The Dismantling of The Canadian Wheat Board(CWB)
By Stephen J. Gray

"In just 12 short hours, the doors to marketing freedom will, at long last, be opened," said Minister Ritz. "The Harper Government has delivered on our long-standing commitment to give western wheat and barley farmers the same freedom to make business decisions that other farmers in Canada have long enjoyed." [1]

The Harper government has formed a “strategic partnership” with Communist China, and we see “free enterprise” political and business leaders and some media pundits praising this “partnership” of communism and capitalism. Big business invests in communist China while shutting down plants in democratic countries. The latest business deal being praised by some is the proposed takeover of Nexen by China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) a State Owned Enterprise (SOE). Yet, the Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) government monopoly was broken up, to let the marketplace decide and give freedom to Canadian farmers.

“Welcome to grain marketing freedom day” Stephen Harper [2]

The CWB monopoly was disbanded by the Harper government believing that the market place should be open for competition and who would argue with that. Yet, this is the same Mr. Harper that consorts with communist dictators and forms a “strategic partnership” with them. Does Harper say one thing then do another?  We have a communist monopoly, SOE, bidding for Nexen. Does this sound like “marketing freedom day?” At least the CWB was in Canadian hands?  If the takeover of Nexen is allowed Canadian resources will be in communist hands! Could that be called, “marketing freedom day?”

“Canadian Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz said that he was aware of interest in buying the government-controlled CWB, although he said it was too soon to consider a takeover.”[3] (emphasis added)

It would appear that the Canadian “government controlled CWB” is over according to P.M. Harper. Yet, the State Owned Enterprise (SOE) of the communist government is open for “business.” Are we seeing “animal farm” politics taking place?   Are communists “more equal” than Canadian farmers? If the dismantling of the CWB was to bring freedom to farmers then surely the question has to be asked: Where is the freedom if Canada allows a communist SOE takeover of Nexen and Canadian resources? Does hypocrisy rule? We see the Canadian farmer freed from the CWB. Yet, there are those in power who wish to “partner” with communist China while spouting “freedom.”  The Epoch Times, of July 25, 2012 said this:

“David Harris, former chief of strategic planning for CSIS and director of the international and terrorist intelligence program at Insignis Strategic Research in Ottawa, said Canada needs to remember that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) maintains a tight grip on state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and has no qualms about using them to whatever end it deems necessary.”[4]

In closing, one has to ask if it’s okay to get rid of, “the government-controlled CWB”  that Stephen Harper has called an "oppressive monopoly," [5] then will be it okay for a communist government, State Owned Enterprise (SOE) to takeover Nexen? Or is that not an "oppressive monopoly?" The answer to that is in the hands of Stephen Harper and his “free enterprise” Tories!
