“Whoever, knowing that an offense has been committed,
receives, relieves, comforts or assists any offender in order to hinder or
prevent his or her apprehension, trial or punishment, is called an accessory
after the fact….” (emphasis
added)
Below are some examples of
wars started by some “leaders” in the western world. Do these “political
warriors” [1] have blood on their
hands? And are some of them war criminals? [2]
And are some of them “accessories after the fact” by participating, financing
or supporting the slaughter and destruction caused by these wars?
Some wars are waged based on
lies. Iraq
is but one example. This country is now in chaos and a bloody civil war
rages. Libya is another country that was
bombed non-stop for months by NATO in an illegal war that even helped out
Al-Qaeda. [3][4] Now Libya is in
chaos and a civil war is raging there as well. Syria too is a war torn country
that is a hell on earth, hundreds of thousands dead, refugees by the thousands
and destruction and death a daily occurrence. The misery and mayhem is financed
by western allies. [5] Ukraine is also
in the throes of a bloody civil war and it could lead to a nuclear war. A
“coup” [6] was organized in Ukraine
courtesy of warmongering [6a]
western “leaders.” Not to be outdone
most of the corporate media mouthpieces in the “democratic” west, including
Canada, ignored the coup planners and the evidence on tape and their plan for
“regime change.”
“...[NATO] gave itself a new "out of area"
mandate to wage unilateral war, from Yugoslavia to Afghanistan and Libya, as
the advance guard of a US-dominated new world order. In Europe it laid the
ground for war in Ukraine by
breaking a US pledge to Moscow and relentlessly expanding eastwards: first into
ex-Warsaw Pact states, then into the former Soviet Union
itself.” Seumas Milne, The Guardian U.K.

Now many of these war making
“leaders” were in Wales
for a NATO conference, [7] to plan
and strategize for more mayhem. Pampered and protected by miles of fencing and
thousands of police. The people who are paying for this gang of warmongering “warriors”
are to be kept at a distance. No protests allowed inside the fence where these
political parrots reside in luxurious comfort. There is no austerity [7a] for these political turkeys the
bill will be paid for as usual by the taxpayers. It’s too bad these “leaders”
could not be kept confined inside these miles of fencing for ever. The only
drawback to this is the cost of feeding and housing them would be astronomical.
Still, it would make for a safer and freer world. Just think no more political
B.S. from this gang. Oh well, one can only dream.
And surely “Article 5” of
NATO is the war industries dream come true:
“Article 5 is at the basis of a fundamental
principle of the North Atlantic Treaty
Organisation. It provides that if a NATO Ally is the victim of an armed attack,
each and every other member of the Alliance
will consider this act of violence as an armed attack against all members and
will take the actions it deems necessary to assist the Ally attacked.” http://www.nato.int/terrorism/five.htm
What if an “ALLY” attacks another country under false
pretences? Iraq is but one example where a war
was started illegally and by lies. There
are others. Here are some examples of countries who did not invade us.
Libya, Afghanistan,
Syria, Ukraine, (a
coup was organized by an ally) and of course Iraq. The aforementioned countries
did not invade the West, yet NATO allies are or were involved or gave support
in these countries. And the only winners are the war industry which manufactures
the weapons of death, and profits from it all. No doubt, the boys in expensive
suits on Wall St.,
and other financial havens are salivating at the thought of endless wars. The
losers are the thousands of soldiers killed and maimed. Orphaned children and millions
of civilians including children slaughtered and mutilated. Millions of
refugees, [8] and cities and
infrastructure destroyed in these unfortunate countries. Could one call all
this carnage NATO-cide?
"I think that NATO is itself a war criminal" Harold Pinter
I believe NATO needs to be
curtailed and controlled. But, I don’t expect any of our so-called “leaders” to
bring this war dog to heel. Based on the evidence in this article our “leaders”
and their supporters, including many in the corporate media [8a] are part of the problem. Or as Pogo said: "We have met the enemy and he is us."
