“An
Israeli attack on a UN school in Gaza which killed 10 people today was ‘a moral
outrage and a criminal act’, according to the United Nations Secretary General
Ban Ki-moon, who called for those responsible for the ‘gross violation of
international law’ to be brought to account.” The Independent U.K. August 3,
2014.
Unfortunately, if the western
“democracies” run true to form nobody will be held to account. Those “great
paragons of virtue” amongst our political “leaders” are known for their
hypocrisy, cowardice and callous disregard for human life. Some of them even
financed, supported and spied for the child killers in this slaughter they call
a “war.”
While pretending they cared about the
slaughter their “allies” carried out on children, schools, hospitals and
civilians, they still gave aid to the perpetrators. Blood money extorted from
taxpayers made taxpayers partners in this “crime against humanity.”
“The U.S. government has long lavished overwhelming
aid on Israel, providing
cash, weapons and surveillance technology that play a crucial role in Israel’s
attacks on its neighbors. But top secret documents provided by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden
shed substantial new light on how the U.S. and its partners directly
enable Israel’s military assaults – such as the one on Gaza.” Glenn Greenwald, The Intercept, 4 Aug.
2014.
And Dennis Kucinich writing in the
Guardian, U.K.
of August 5, 2014, stated:
“Late last week, the
White House decried Israel’s
attack on a UN school in Gaza
as “totally unacceptable” and “totally indefensible”, then
proceeded to approve $225m in funding for its Iron Dome. On Monday, the
US state department went further, calling the airstrikes upon a UN school “disgraceful” – and
yet America
provides Israel with more than $3.1bn every year, restocking the ability of
the Israel Defense Force (IDF) to hit more schools, and to wage total war
against an imprisoned people, because of their nationality.”
I believe what we are seeing is total evil aided and abetted
by politicians. One of these politicians even received a Nobel Peace Prize. That
goes to show how sick, twisted and depraved the system has become. Hell on
earth would be a good description of what is happening in Gaza.
The Daily Mail U.K. of August 2, 2014 in an
article by David Nott had the headline:
“ 'It's like the Apocalypse' says British doctor in Gaza: In a harrowing
dispatch, heroic NHS surgeon describes horror of treating child bomb victims...
during a ceasefire” The doctor says in the article:
“We had a child, an
eight-year-old girl, who had severe fragment wounds from an exploded bomb. She
had a hole in her stomach, her back, in her chest and colon.
“Thankfully, we did
manage to save her.
“Most of the
operations we’re doing are on children and young people. They come in with
crush injuries, and massive fragment wounds from shells and bits of buildings.”
And other doctors also have stories to tell on these
horrific atrocities being enacted on children. The Irish Times of July 24, 2014
had this to say in an article by Mark Hilliard:
“Professor Damian McCormack of Temple St
Children’s Hospital in Dublin
was among the Irish medical contingent today. He said in Gaza ‘we have a clear violation of the
principles of medical neutrality through the shelling of hospitals.
“‘These are real
people and real children; 43 per cent of the population in Gaza are kids. Over 700 are dead now and half
of them are children. It’s infanticide.’
“Professor McCormack
called on the Israeli ambassador to Ireland to explain his country’s
actions or leave. His colleague, Dr Paul Connolly, consultant orthopaedic surgeon, likened the
situation in Gaza
to a ‘slow grinding genocide’”. (emphasis added)
Another brave Norwegian doctor who works in a hospital in Gaza had this to say in a
letter:
“Dearest friends, The
last night was extreme. The ‘ground invasion’ of Gaza resulted in scores and carloads with
maimed, torn apart, bleeding, shivering, dying - all sorts of injured
Palestinians, all ages, all civilians, all innocent.
The heroes in the ambulances and in all of Gaza's hospitals are working 12-24 hour shifts, grey from fatigue and inhuman workloads (without payment all in Shifa for the last 4 months), they care, triage, try to understand the incomprehensible chaos of bodies, sizes, limbs, walking, not walking, breathing, not breathing, bleeding, not bleeding humans. HUMANS!
Now, once more treated like animals by ‘the most moral army in the world’ (sic!)....”

A Medical Journal had this to say:
“The Lancet, Early Online Publication, 23 July 2014...”
“An open letter for the
people in Gaza”
...
“We are doctors and
scientists, who spend our lives developing means to care and protect health and
lives. We are also informed people; we teach the ethics of our professions,
together with the knowledge and practice of it. We all have worked in and known
the situation of Gaza
for years.
On the basis of our
ethics and practice, we are denouncing what we witness in the aggression of Gaza by Israel....”

One could go on and on showing the evidence of these
atrocities visited upon innocent children, civilians, hospitals, schools and
homes. Most of it condoned and supported by repulsive, cowardly and loathsome
politicians. We need to ask ourselves do we have political monsters [1] ruling over us in all of our
countries? And will we speak out against this evil?
