The Horrified Hypocrites

Anybody with a spark of human decency is surely horrified at the latest murderous Saudi atrocity. But to see the so-called international community, the corporate media, business leaders and all the other political elites and establishment members all rightly upset over the horrific murder of Jamal Khashoggi is, I believe, to see selective hypocrisy in action.

Where were these “pillars of society” when the Saudis murdered schoolchildren travelling in a school bus in Yemen? Did that get blanket coverage in the newsrooms of the “investigative media”? Did any of them speak out daily? Oh, I forgot, some of these   “honourable people” sell arms to the Saudis, do sword dances with them, kiss their cheeks, [1] and call them “allies.” Now they pretend to be outraged at their Saudi friends. Therefore, I ask:

What kind of “people” slaughter children in a school bus in Yemen?
What kind of army guides the missiles into the school bus?
What kind of “democratic governments” support this slaughter?
What kind of governments sells weapons to the killers of children?
What kind of politicians call selling weapons “creating jobs”?
What kind of politicians vote for illegal wars?...

Furthermore, what kind of media covers up the crimes of the war criminals [1a] [1b] in our midst that have supplied the weapons to the Saudis and joined their “Coalition of Carnage” [2] that is destroying and committing “Genocide in Yemen”? [2a]

An article in National Review of October 13, 2018, by Marlo Safi, said this:

“A Saudi Washington Post journalist goes missing and is presumed dead. Reporting suggests that he may have been savagely dismembered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in what has been described as a Pulp Fiction–style killing at the hands of the government he once served has become the rallying cry of Western media against the Saudi regime’s barbarism — as of last week....

“But where were these cries of protest and condemnation when Saudi Arabia dropped a bomb on a Yemeni school bus in August, killing 40 boys under age eleven? Or when Saudi-funded mosques in Europe for years preached Salafist-Wahhabist ideology, creating hotbeds of extremism? Or when the Saudi government sought to behead a 29-year-old female activist accused of encouraging demonstrations for greater rights for Shiite Muslims?...”

These “dressed to kill” slaughterers of the human race all have fancy titles to their names, and some are addressed as right honourable, honourable, your excellencies, and other titles designed to give an aura of respectability. Some of them even blame the victims for the horrendous crimes perpetrated upon them, and make excuses for their killers. When, in fact, a number of them should be arrested, dressed in orange prison attire, manacled with chains and charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity. Dare one call them “respectable monsters”? [3]

You can see them preening and posturing on the world stage, impeccably dressed. Feted and acclaimed by some of their partners in crimes,’ and lauded as “statesmen” and “eminent persons.” They give speeches at many thousands of dollars a speech to some of those who have profited from their decisions. Some of them even write books on their roles in corrupting the world, only they don’t use the word corrupting. They use words like “bringing democracy” and “responsibility to protect.” I believe it is the people everywhere who need protection from these international gangsters who start wars based on lies and cause death and destruction world wide. These are the “respectable” war criminals to big to jail, too big too prosecute and too powerful to arrest because they run and control the system called “democracy.” [4]

Any murder by monsters is a horrific crime in any democracy. But it surely is even more heinous when some murders are ignored by those in power that are accessories after the fact, [5] and supply the weapons that slaughter innocent children in Yemen, participate in illegal wars that kill millions, and assassinate people in other countries. Therefore, based on the evidence available, I believe we are in the hands of: The Horrified Hypocrites.

“The U.S. government leads the world in assassinations. No other regime can come close in this remarkable achievement. Every month, there are new assassinations. The process never stops. People are being assassinated on a regular basis by national-security state officials. The assassinations include American citizens. State-sponsored assassinations have become an ordinary part of American governmental life. The U.S. government also leads the world in bombings. Every day, new bombs are dropped on people. We don’t even know how many people are being killed by the bombs. We don’t know who the victims are. It doesn’t really matter....” Jacob G. Hornberger, September 23, 2014
