Can a “pledge” and a “promise” be made for Lawlessness?

Can a “pledge” and a “promise” be made for Lawlessness?
By Stephen J. Gray

“The Prime Minister reminded his MPs he made a pledge to Canadians during the 2011 election: that his government would not reopen the abortion debate and that Conservatives wouldn’t bring forward legislation on the topic.” -Globe and Mail, March 28, 2013.

Abortion kills an innocent human life. Canada has no law on killing by abortion, just like communist China and North Korea. Yet, there are those in positions of power who do not want to stop the killing, despite all the evidence that we have of the humanity of the pre-born child. The leader of the Conservative government, P.M. Stephen Harper, is on the record as saying this: “As long as I am prime minister we are not opening the abortion debate” (quoted in Globe and Mail, April 21, 2011).

Therefore, one has to ask the question, can a “pledge” be made to continue this lawlessness on abortion, and can one man, Stephen Harper, be allowed to impose his view on this issue on parliament?

The Globe and Mail of March 28, 2013, updated April 2, 2013, in an article by Gloria Galloway and Steven Chase stated, “The Prime Minister faced a brewing revolt from backbenchers this week concerning the grip his office exerts on their conduct, a rebellion that was triggered by Mr. Harper’s refusal to allow a vote on a B.C. MP’s motion condemning sex-selective abortions and then escalated into a bigger fight over how much autonomy Tory members of Parliament should have in the Commons….”

The article went on to state, “The Prime Minister reminded his MPs he made a pledge to Canadians during the 2011 election: that his government would not reopen the abortion debate and that Conservatives wouldn’t bring forward legislation on the topic.”… (emphasis added) The article further stated, “Last week the Conservatives collaborated with the NDP and Liberals to declare Mr. Warawa’s motion ineligible for further debate – essentially rendering it dead – despite the opinion of a Library of Parliament analyst who said it was entirely within bounds….” [1]

So there we have it, Mr. Accountability himself, Stephen Harper, hiding behind a “pledge,” which really is a suppression of free speech. Then the so-called “Conservatives” gang up with the Liberals and the NDP against Warawa’s motion. What an undemocratic gang of political hypocrites these politicians are and a danger to a supposed democratic society. And one of Harper’s MPs, Michelle Rempel, climbed aboard the pro-abortion bandwagon and parroted this excuse:

“A lot has been talked about this year about the ability of parliamentarians to have respectful debate on a wide variety of issues and I certainly support that principle. Having said that ... we made a promise to Canadians,” [on abortion] said Rempel. [2: Calgary Herald May 23, 2013.]

Rempel says she supports “debate,” and “that principle,” yet her party “collaborated” with the opposition to suppress debate. Is it any wonder politicians have no credibility?

The above information should surely raise this important question: How can anyone in a supposedly democratic society make a “pledge” or a “promise” not to reopen debate on any issue, abortion or otherwise?

I believe we have reached a stage in this country where free speech and free expression have become a sham [3] when all three political parties conspire together and collaborate against having the House vote on a motion of another member of parliament, namely MP Mark Warawa.  If these undemocratic politicians can do that against him, then the precedent has been set, and others could be next. Don’t these political dolts understand what they have done? In their haste to allow this killing by abortion in Canada to continue, they have become just like P.M. Stephen Harper and his lackeys; they all have made a “pledge” and a “promise” for lawlessness.

A Thank You to Friends from High in the Sky

A Thank You to Friends from High in the Sky
(Satire) by Stephen J. Gray

Friends,
As I fly through the air for another visit to other countries, and rack up the air miles, I am quite happy to be on my way again. It will be nice to get away and not answer any questions about the distraction of the so-called senate scandal. As you know, I promised Senate reform some time ago, but a thought just came to me, who needs it now? We have a majority in the Senate, and I appointed a whole bunch of the gang, oops I mean honourable ones. And I could appoint more at my leisure, so why interrupt a good thing that works? Still, I want to thank all you true believers, for your support during these trying times. It really was heartening the way all of you cheered, applauded, and shook my hand after my speech on accountability, before leaving. On an unhappy note; there was a few dismaying incidents after my speech, where some of the media tried to get me to answer questions. Can you believe these guys, I invite them into my hallowed chamber to listen to my speech on accountability and transparency and they have the cheek to shout and yell questions at me? No more invites for them if they cannot behave when I am at the podium.

The Senate expenses hassle is really a storm in a teacup as are the complaints about a $90,000 check cut to aid a senator friend. Friends always help friends and we did. What is wrong with that? You would think a bank had been robbed with all the publicity this act of kindness is getting. Still, we will soldier on despite all the slings and arrows aimed at our accountable and transparent government. Just look at all the good things we have done. We got two pandas on loan from China and signed a strategic partnership with the communist dictatorship. We sealed the Nexen deal and handed over some of the country’s resources to a Communist State Owned Enterprise. I have always said I am in favour of free enterprise and the free market and this deal proves it! I went to Davos and told all the elites we were going to raise the Old Age security to 67 years of age. I did not do that in parliament first because I wanted to show the big boys, leadership in action. What could be better than that? Still some in the negative media are making a big deal about the $90,000 check, and the, “$3.1 billion missing in anti-terror funds,” that my government can’t locate. Hey, it’s only money and it is in the system somewhere, so what’s the big deal?  As I write this note, in the sky, I am on a high. (did I just make a pun?) I think of all you wonderful true believers out there. No matter how much I suppress your freedom of speech and expression you still do what you are told, and as I mentioned earlier you all gave me a big round of applause after my speech this morning. Some even patted me on the back and shook my hand, before I took off for my plane journey overseas.  What a send off. It was an amazing show of servility and sycophantic subservience, oops I mean support.

No doubt some of the cynical critics are saying, “What a grovelling gang you all are.” I say you are wonderful bunch of supporters who will do and say anything for me. Your loyalty brings tears to my eyes, up here in the sky, hey I am a bit of poet and I did not know it. Just a little bit of levity to coax a smile from you all. Still, I will say this; I hope while I am away creating jobs, prosperity and helping our country’s economy that none of you will speak out of line. Think of me as your example, and do not answer any media questions. Anyway, I have left the “Pit Bull” in charge so he will look after you all. And Gordy the Whip-master can be depended upon to also keep you all in line. And don’t even think about bringing up that pesky abortion issue while I am away. It’s over kaput, dead, just like the 491 dead babies I don’t want to talk about, who survived abortions and were left to die.

Anyway, hopefully the senate scandal will be a dead issue when I get back. If not I may have to prorogue parliament, that should shut them all up. They won’t have a platform if the House is shut down. Then we can all enjoy summer in peace.

Thank you all,
Your Faithful and Accountable Leader.

The Slaughter,The Killings and The Coverup in Canada

Who would have believed that in the supposedly civilized country of Canada, 491 babies that were born alive after failed killings by abortion were then left to die, or that this atrocity would not even be investigated? Or that those in positions of power, namely the justice system, the leader of the federal government and most of the politicians of all the political parties would remain silent on this appalling heinous criminality? A headline in Postmedia News of January 31, 2013, said this: “Tory backbenchers call on RCMP to investigate late-term abortions, but PM says the debate is closed” the article was written by Tobi Cohen.

In fact, the country’s leader, the right honourable Stephen Harper is quoted in the article as saying this on the monstrous atrocity: "I think all members of this House, whether they agree with it or not, understand that abortion is legal in Canada and this government, myself included, have made it very clear that the government does not intend to change the law in this regard" [1]

These babies were born alive, after failed killings; therefore, in these 491 cases this isn’t a matter of abortion—it’s a matter of infanticide: and that IS against Canadian law.  Mr. Harper should at least know that difference. Yet, he continues to do nothing about this contravention of the criminal code:

“According to the Criminal Code, a child is considered to be a human being and a person after proceeding fully from the mother's womb, therefore, based on Section 223(2) of the Criminal Code, there should be 491 homicide investigations or prosecutions in connection with these deaths.” [1]

But to date, nothing has been done. These 491 innocents have received no justice and no recognition of their humanity. Yet, a lawless Canada--Canada has no law on abortion--led by PM Stephen Harper is always boasting that they, the Conservatives, are the “party of law and order.” What an abominable disgrace this government is, as are the other political parties in this House of Evil called parliament. 491 babies cry out for justice and only three MPs spoke out to try and right this terrible injustice.

Animals get more respect in this country than human life. One has only to think back to the frenzy and outcry over the slaughtered sled dogs at Whistler [2] to realize that animal lives are more of a priority than innocent tiny humans. Something is deadly wrong in our society today when a mass human killing of this magnitude is covered up, or missed by the mainstream media. One wonders if it had been 491 dogs slaughtered or left to die—would the media have missed or censored the evidence? Based on their reporting on the killing of animals, I don’t believe so.

In fact, many media show their bias in favour of killing by abortion.  Consider an editorial headlined “The Abortion debate is over so shut up” in the Vancouver Province of November 20, 2012, which stated,

“Anti-abortionists need to get this through their skulls: the debate is over and you lost. Women long ago won the right to have control over their bodies, and the choice about whether and when to have children, and Canadians massively support that right. Abortion is not murder, so get over it.” [3]

But it is not only The Province newspaper that shows its bias on the killing by abortionists. Recently, the Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform sent out a media release entitled “Abortion Face-Off with Stephen Harper.” [4] Which was a postcard distribution in Stephen Harper’s riding. I did not see any media coverage of these postcards from the National Post, The Globe and Mail or the Toronto Star. The CBC did a story but said: “CBC has decided not to use those images.” [5] the images were of Stephen Harper and an aborted baby. Nor did these three newspapers cover the Launch of, “The New Abortion Caravan” [6] in a busy downtown Vancouver location last year.

I believe this lawless atrocity called abortion in Canada shows the culpability of so-called “investigative journalism.” Their coverage of abortion and the crimes of abortionists is mostly limited. They show no pictures of these little innocent victims, except of course if it’s animals--then the slaughter is all over the airwaves, TV stations and the newspapers.  There are a few journalists who have spoken out on the abortion issue, but sadly only a few. Most of the media in Canada covered up these 491 homicides of these little innocents. And thanks to an ongoing cover-up by many powers-that-be, this evil atrocity in Canada continues.

An Open Letter to Kermit Gosnell the Abortionist

Dear Kermit, may I call you Kermit? I have heard you are in a spot of bother for killing babies in your abortion practice. They say you slit the necks of some babies after they were born alive, and that your abortion clinic pipes and toilets were choked with babies’ body parts. I guess you must be feeling very frustrated that you are being discriminated against when others are practically doing the same thing. Anyway, I write this letter to give you some advice: you should come to Canada.  We have no law on abortion, just like China and North Korea and our abortionists are feted and praised in the media. One abortionist has even been called a hero and received Canada’s highest honour, The Order of Canada.

Our Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Stephen Harper has even said, “As long as I am prime minister we are not opening the abortion debate,…” Stephen Harper, quoted in Globe and Mail, April 21, 2011

So you see Kermit, our PM has said there will be no “debate” on abortion; that would be right up your alley as the saying goes. In fact, here, in our civilized country called Canada, our prime minister and most other politicians in our parliament even voted against discussing when human life begins. Don’t you wish you were up here in the great white north practising your profession? But wait Kermit, I have even more information for you on how we treat babies born alive after abortion. There were 491 babies born alive in Canada [1] after abortionists failed to kill them but no charges have been laid. Three Canadian Conservative MPs even wrote the RCMP [2] and asked them to investigate, but so far nothing has been done and the matter appears to be dead, just like the babies left to die after the failed killings. Even Canada’s “investigative media” has mostly ignored these killings. So you see, Kermit, you really should be practicing up here in Canada.  In fact, our prime minister even said this about the 491 homicides:

“‘I think all members of this House, whether they agree with it or not, understand that abortion is legal in Canada and this government, myself included, have made it very clear that the government does not intend to change the law in this regard,’ he said during question period Thursday.” [2]

So there you have it once again Kermit, there is no law on killing babies in Canada; this is a lawless land, and the authorities turn a blind eye to baby killing as witness the 491 babies mentioned earlier. You surely must be saying to yourself, “I must go to Canada, there is no law on killing by abortion and they even give out the country’s highest honour to an abortionist and they have a wonderful dictatorial prime minister and most of the politicians from all the political parties agree that killing by choice is okay.”

Anyway, Kermit, I just wrote this letter to fill you in on the wonderful opportunity awaiting you here in Canada, should you eventually decide to honour us with your presence.  You could slaughter these little innocents here to your heart’s content and no charges will be laid. I will close for now and leave you with these words by an honourable member of parliament to our right honourable Prime Minister:

‘Will the Prime Minister make it clear that he and his government understand that abortion is not murder?’ [3]

{Satire} An Imaginary Globalist Speech

Dear Friends, welcome to our annual meeting. There is much to report, so I will start with some recent happenings. That wonderful country Canada has been in the news the last few days. It seems there has been some furor over outsourcing of jobs. One big bank even had its workers training foreign workers before they outsourced some of the bank workers’ jobs. There was quite an outcry about this and many people were upset. Don’t these people realize they now live in a world of globalization and all jobs could soon be up for outsourcing. People have to learn to compete and let the marketplace decide. There is no free lunch and are no free rides. By the way, I would like to thank the leader of Canada for a $60 billion tax break to some of our corporations, [1]  this chap knows the worth of the free market when he sees it. I also liked his speech in Davos [2]where he announced changes to his country’s Old Age Security, raising the age to 67 years, before announcing it in his country’s parliament. Perhaps he realizes our importance in this globalist world?  People should have to work longer for their benefits in this globalist planet. After all, people in some of the poorer countries where we operate, don’t have these kind of benefits. Still, it was nice of him to give us all a heads up in Davos before telling his own people. He would be an asset to any of our multinational corporations and I am sure, should he ever decide to leave politics, there will be a place for him at our corporate globalist table. In fact, he is already on record as saying nice words about us by saying, “We need some semblance of global governance” [3]

Governing any country is not easy; that is why we take pains to advise many governments on how things should be done. That is why our latest plan, the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), has been described as, “the largest trade agreement ever.” And it surely is, though we are keeping much of it secret. [4] Still, most of the politicians have come on board this ship of globalist trade, praising it and saying it will “create jobs.” These are important words to use when explaining the secret TPP. Some cynics are calling it a ship of corporate pirates aiming to plunder, pillage and loot the world in the name of open markets and destroy any benefits some ordinary people have. But hey, competition will be good for all those workers in different countries, all of them merging into a world marketplace in a race for globalist business.  Those outdated customs, like national sovereignty, will die on the altar of Globalism and workers of the world will be merged into one big competing faction for our global business ventures. It will be a dog eat dog world as the saying goes, a wonderful business venture into the globalist utopia where the lowest bidder gets the prize, and I am sure there will be plenty of low bidders from the poorer countries. That is why we need the TPP; bigger profits are the name of the game and we have no shame in admitting to that. (A number of hear, hears are heard and a standing ovation ensues from the assembled globalists.)

Anyway, getting back to that wonderful country Canada, which incidentally has signed on to the TPP, their smart leader even passed legislation that foreign workers coming into his country could be paid 15% less. [5] Still, the Canadian government has an “Economic Action Plan” and perhaps this is a part of it. (A burst of laughter ensues and shouts are heard of “God Bless the Tories”)  As expected, many of our corporate friends in that country jumped on this free enterprise band wagon and took advantage of this wonderful gift of paying workers less. Of course there was much criticism of this. But one of our stalwart financial columnists, who can always be depended on to come to our aid, called the criticism of outsourcing hysteria from the left and as usual was a pillar of support for us all. Perhaps someday he will get a seat in the Senate for his defence of outsourcing and free enterprise!

Free enterprise is the engine that will kick start the world economy. There will be no more bailouts for the banks. Just a “bail in” [6] from the stiffs, oops I mean depositors monies should some extra cash be needed to prop up the monetary system.  All in all things are hunky dory for us globalists and the politicians accede, to all our demands oops I mean suggestions. I will close with some famous words: “The world is ours comrades and all that’s in it.” So let us move forward and continue to profit from our globalization.
(A standing ovation ensues and many shouts of “three cheers for the New World Order” are heard.)

Does the “Secretive” Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) Undermine National Sovereignty?

“The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a secretive, multi-national trade agreement that threatens to extend restrictive intellectual property (IP) laws across the globe and rewrite international rules on its enforcement….TPP raises significant concerns about citizens’ freedom of expression, due process, innovation, the future of the Internet’s global infrastructure, and the right of sovereign nations to develop policies and laws that best meet their domestic priorities.” [1]

Surely, the “domestic priorities” of any country should be the welfare of its people. Yet, there are numerous articles available that state the TPP is a danger to national sovereignty and is being negotiated in secret. One has to ask the question: If it is such a good deal, why all the secrecy?
Still they have a way of making these deals sound nice and palatable, using words like “partnership” and in the USA ,Canada and Mexico deal “integration” is the word used, as is, “beyond borders” [2] all designed to baffle and fool the masses into believing that this is all for their benefit. The nice sounding language is thought up by their “strategists” and “marketing experts” of the corporate world some of whom work for multi-national corporate strategy firms. You can see some of these “experts” and “strategists” on political shows on TV giggling, sniggering, laughing and talking with the host as they spread their BS across the land. Government is a great source of tax-payers dollars and a profitable business for some of these propagandists. Manipulating the masses is the name of the political game and national sovereignty is easily dismissed.

“Member countries will sacrifice national sovereignty. Their laws, regulations and rights will be subordinated to TPP rules….” [3]

Who is behind these “rules” that will “sacrifice national sovereignty?”

“The Trans-Pacific Partnership is also expected to grant banks and other transnational corporations the power to challenge any laws, regulations and even court decisions that they believe violate the FTA through international tribunals that circumvent domestic judicial systems. Under these “regulatory takings” cases, countries would be forced to change their policies and/or pay stiff penalties to the aggrieved corporations.” [4]

One has to ask will supposedly free peoples allow these multi-national corporate elites to takeover their countries, and why are the puppet politicians involved in these “secret negotiations that could endanger national sovereignty?  Could this be called political treason? Or is the subterfuge described as “creating jobs?”

Lost jobs have been in the news lately where employees at the Royal Bank of Canada {RBC) are to be replaced by foreign workers and in some cases: “The new people are in our offices and we are training them to do our jobs. That adds insult to injury.”
And according to another news report other banks are doing the same thing.
But it is not only banks that are bringing in foreign workers. A mining company in B.C is also bringing in Chinese workers.

The above information is just some examples of what is happening inside our country today. Still, the Harper government has formed a “strategic partnership” [5] with the communist government of China. Therefore one wonders does “strategic partnership” include that country’s workers?

Could the examples shown above be a template for what is to come when this “secretive” TPP comes into being. Will ordinary people be herded like cattle into accepting the conditions of multi-national corporations? Will all the health and safety standard go out the window? Will pension plans and old age security become a thing of the past? Will lower wages be the norm as people from all these different and some poorer countries “compete” for a slice of the corporate pie? Still, the politicians who make all these deals will be okay. When they leave public office some of them finish up on corporate boards. They have big pensions courtesy of the taxpayers, and the taxpayers are left holding the empty bag if their economies are looted in the name of “free enterprise” and “strategic partnerships.” Still, let the corporate “marketplace” decide and to hell with national sovereignty seems to be the plan aided and abetted by puppet politicians.

The Evil of Political Cowards

There is but one coward on earth, and that is the coward that dare not know.”
-W.E.B. DuBois

There is an old saying that evil begets evil and this can be seen in our country today.
This is a country that has over 100,000 abortions yearly, has no law on the killing by abortion--just like China and North Korea--and our political representatives refuse to discuss when human life begins. The latest addition to the ongoing political evil is the suppression of free speech in the House of Parliament. Motion 408 on sex selective abortion   “… was ruled out of order after a discussion at the subcommittee on private members’ business last Thursday” (Macleans, March 25, 2013. [1]).

What is the matter with the “honourable” political cowards inhabiting this House of No Shame? Are they afraid to even discuss the issue of abortion, for to do so might force them to admit that they are party to unrestricted killing in this country? Therefore, the killing must continue unabated, free speech must be suppressed and democracy silenced. As I said earlier, evil begets evil and so the machinations of evil continue to operate to silence truth.

Truth should go hand in hand with leadership, but leadership is lacking in our country today. Instead we have a prime minister who is on record as saying: “As long as I am prime minister we are not opening the abortion debate…” (Stephen Harper quoted in Globe and Mail, April 21, 2011)

This statement by the leader of our country should surely raise alarm bells in the minds of its people. If this man can decide what issues he will and will not allow to be debated then one wonders what other issues he will decide are forbidden, or not to be spoken of?  The undemocratic rotting smell that emanates from the prime minister’s mouth has now infected parliament--as witness the decision of the sub-committee on Motion 408 that ruled the motion “out of order.” Once again evil begets evil.

Evil is running amok in our country and we are all being tainted by its residence in parliament. “Surely not,” some people might say. “Where is the evidence?” others might ask.  It is on record that 491 babies were born alive then left to die after failing to be killed by abortionists. This was brought to the attention of parliament and the RCMP, and nothing, and I stress NOTHING, has been done to bring the perpetrators to justice. [2]
And our “right honourable” prime minister had this to say on these 491 atrocities:

“‘I think all members of this House, whether they agree with it or not, understand that abortion is legal in Canada and this government, myself included, have made it very clear that the government does not intend to change the law in this regard,’ he said during question period Thursday.” [3]

But because these babies were born alive, in these 491 cases this isn’t a matter of abortion—it’s a matter of infanticide: and that IS against Canadian law.  Mr. Harper should at least know that difference.

So there you have it, once again from the mouth of the “leader” of this country. He knows about this slaughter of the 491 innocents but won’t address it. How sick and perverted are those words from the lips of Stephen Harper? What kind of mind can explain away the horrors inflicted on the helpless innocents? And how sick is it that the most of the MPs in this House of Parliament continue to sit idly by and DO NOTHING about the killings of these little babies? A handful of MPs have spoken out about this but the rest have sat back in cowardly silence. Strange things are happening in that Tory caucus. Some of those who complained they were “muzzled” now say they “admire” Harper. Which makes one wonder, are some of them suffering from Beaten Dog Syndrome where a dog, after it is beaten, comes back to lick the hand of its master, and cowers and crawls on its belly for his favor despite all the evils heaped upon it?

“He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.” -Martin Luther King Jr.

I believe based on the evidence we are in the hands of loathsome political cowards from all the political parties, who will go to any lengths to suppress free speech, democracy and these crimes against helpless innocents. There is an evil political sickness infecting this parliament and it is contaminating the country. Something has to be done to cleanse it and deliver us from evil, or we will continue to sink into the depths of political degradation and this evil of disgusting political cowardice will continue to rule.

Panda Mania

" ‘I want to offer my sincere thanks to the government of China for sharing these two pandas, symbols of peace and friendship, with all Canadians,’ Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Monday, moments after welcoming the black and white bears on the tarmac at Toronto's Pearson airport.” [1]

The two giant Pandas arrived at the airport to an animal farm style welcome, they were greeted by “dignitaries” a band played the national anthem and the right honourable PM was there to greet them. We are told their names are Er Shun and Da Mao.  Our great leader had this to say on panda-ring to the Chinese.

“Over the coming years these pandas will help us learn more about one another while serving as a reminder of our deepening relationship, a relationship based on mutual respect and growing collaboration.” Stephen Harper [2]

I guess “growing collaboration” with a communist dictatorship is right up Harper’s alley. One wonders how he can have “mutual respect” with a bloodthirsty dictatorship that uses, torture, slave labour, oppresses its own people and has forced abortions. [3]

As a matter of fact on the same day that Stephen Harper was all dressed up to welcome his two pandas there was a story on Lifesite news March 25, 2013 by John Jalsevac headlined: “7-month-old baby forcibly aborted on March 22 in China: graphic photo circulates”[4]

The article went on to state: “Ms. Lü, a 33-year-old Chinese woman whose husband reported the case and released the photograph, was reportedly pregnant with an over-quota child, an illegal act under China’s One-Child Policy.”

This is a horrendous story, and makes one wonder how Stephen Harper can say Canada has “a relationship based on mutual respect” with this brutal dictatorship. I am sure most Canadians must feel revulsion that Harper is including them in his obnoxious statements to the Chinese.

Still, one should not be surprised anymore by the actions of this “man” and many of his MPs. Mr. Harper and a number of his MPs and other opposition politicians voted against finding out when human life begins. Now this collection of anti-democratic hypocrites are attempting to suppress MP Mark Warawa’s Motion 408 on sex selection abortion.

This is the state of parliamentary “democracy” in Canada today. But hey, we have two pandas to keep us happy and contented in Harperland and they are only going to cost us “10 million dollars.” [5]
They should billet the pandas in parliament  for according to Mr. Harper “these pandas will help us learn more about one another” so they would be right at home in Harper’s political zoo.

The Silence of Politicians on Free Speech and the Supreme Court of Canada

"While the Canadian Constitution Foundation [CCF] does not take any position on the content of the materials distributed by Mr. Whatcott, it believes that it is the right of every Canadian to freely and peacefully express themselves without fear of censorship or persecution by the state. Free expression is the lifeblood of democracies and all forms of expression, especially the offensive kind, needs to be protected. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court disagrees."
CCF Executive Director and lawyer Chris Schafer [1]

The recent off the wall decision by the Supreme Court of Canada in the Whatcott case has been met with silence from our elected representatives. Have they all lost their ability to speak? Have they become so enamoured of unelected judges that they are incapable of speaking up for freedom, democracy and free speech. The wacky words below are from the Supreme Court unanimous decision that said this:

“Truthful statements can be presented in a manner that would meet the definition of hate speech, and not all truthful statements must be free from restriction” [2]

The words above are surely straight out of “Alice in Wonderland” One wonders are the judges fans of fairy tales? Does Humpty Dumpty now sit on the Bench?

`When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, `it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less.'

`The question is,' said Alice, `whether you can make words mean so many different things.'

`The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, `which is to be master - - that's all.'

(Through the Looking Glass, Chapter 6)

There is no doubt in Canada that the unelected judges are the “masters” and the elected politicians are their grovelling gatekeepers over the serfs, who are forced to put up with nonsense in law and poltroons in politics.

Parliament is supposed to be supreme yet it defers to unelected judges and human rights commissions. Why then do we go through the farce of pretending we live in a democracy when free speech is a prisoner of word twisting ex-lawyers masquerading as judges? And human rights commissars who are controlling the conversations of free speech. Something has to be done to free Canadians from the dictatorship of the unelected who have usurped what used to be called a “democracy.”

Still never mind Stephen Harper tells us we have “fundamental Canadian values”

“The Office [of Religious Freedom]will be an important vehicle through which Canada can advance fundamental Canadian values including freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law worldwide.” [3]

Obviously, this guy thinks we don’t know what is going on in this country “freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law…” have become a farce. The Charter of Rights is a joke, the jokers are on the Bench, the clowns are in parliament and so-called Human Rights Commissions are writing the script in this production of nonsense.

Mind you Mr. Harper is not the only political leader to be cravenly silent on the suppression of free speech by the unelected judiciary. Mr. Mulcair of the NDP - a party that has “democratic” in its name -  has also been found wanting when it comes to free speech. And of course one must not forget the new, yet to be crowned Prince of Liberalism, Mr. Trudeau, just like the other political leaders, he has not raised his voice in defence of free speech over the inane words of the judges that said “… not all truthful statements must be free from restriction”

One has to ask what the hell is happening to our country if the truth is no longer a defense? We truly are a country in a state of delusion. But hey, we have been headed that way for some time now. A judge some time ago consulted his imagination and “read in” words not written in the Charter. Now we have another judge, and all of his cohorts agreeing unanimously that truth is no longer a defense, even if it’s true. So what can be done to restore some sanity to our country.  I believe our elected representatives have to start showing some courage and abolish these so-called Human Rights Commissions and remove from the Bench unfit judges who have said, telling the truth is no longer a defense. Otherwise this judicial madness will continue to turn this country into a judicial Wonderland with Humpty Dumpties on the Bench. And we the people will continue to be deprived of our freedoms unless we say loud and clear, “ENOUGH.”

Are These the Actions of a Political Hypocrite?

Recently Stephen Harper announced a newly created “Office of Religious Freedom.” He  was praised for this and was quoted as saying these words:

“Around the world, violations of religious freedom are widespread and they are increasing,” (Ottawa Citizen, February 20, 2013) [1] They certainly are, including here in Canada. Some examples of religious freedom and non religious freedoms under attack in Canada can be seen here [2]

In Canada religious freedom and other freedoms have been under attack for some time. Yet the Harper government seems to have ignored what is happening in its own backyard.
Recently, in the Whatcott case, a case that could affect religious freedom and all our other freedoms in Canada, the Supreme Court of Canada in a unanimous decision said truth is no longer a defence even if it is true. Whether one agrees with Whatcott or disagrees, this ruling could affect us all. Our rule of law and evidence in courts are based on truth. Those giving evidence can swear on the Bible or take an oath.
“A person may, instead of taking an oath, make the following solemn affirmation: I solemnly affirm that the evidence to be given by me shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.” (http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-5/page-4.html )
Yet, our Supreme Court judges say truth is no longer a defence even if it’s true. Therefore if truth is no longer a defence how can the Harper government say this:

“The Office [of Religious Freedom] will be an important vehicle through which Canada can advance fundamental Canadian values including freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law worldwide,” said a background document released by the government.
Ottawa Citizen, Feb. 20, 2013. [1]

These are very nice and uplifting words from the Harper government but are they really just BS to disguise what is really happening in Canada to “fundamental Canadian values?” Let’s look at the words used by the Harper Government in its document.

Freedom:
Free speech has been dead in Canada for some time. The Whatcott decision is the final nail in its coffin delivered by judges, some were appointed by Stephen Harper. His government along with powerful special interest groups has also sided with the Canadian Human Rights (CHRC) against free speech.

“The Attorney General of Canada, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the Canadian Jewish Congress, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre and B'nai Brith Canada will be intervening in the Lemire case in support of Section 13, arguing that it is a reasonable restriction on freedom of speech” (Canadian Constitution Foundation Letter of April 28, 2008.

Stephen Harper said this about Human Rights Commissions and free speech.
“Human rights commissions, as they are evolving, are an attack on our fundamental freedoms and the basic existence of a democratic society … It is, in fact, totalitarianism. I find this is very scary stuff” (Stephen Harper). [3]
Based on his own words can anyone believe what this guy says?

Democracy:
The Harper “freedom document” also mentions “democracy”   If only that were true in Harper’s Canada. This is a government that prorogues Parliament.
“Three times in three years and twice within one year, the prime minister takes this extraordinary step to muzzle Parliament. This time it’s a coverup of what the Conservatives knew, and when they knew it, about torture in Afghanistan. So their solution is not to answer the questions but, rather, to padlock Parliament and shut down democracy.” Ralph Goodale quoted in CBC news Article December 30, 2009. [4]

The Harper government has also passed omnibus bills with little debate and announced changes to old age security in Davos  to a gathering of the world’s elite before discussing it in the Canadian parliament. Is this “democracy” in Harperland?

Human Rights:
Stephen Harper voted against discussing when human life begins. Is on record as saying this: “As long as I am prime minister we are not opening the abortion debate,…” Stephen Harper quoted in Globe and Mail, April 21, 2011.
One would think that in a so-called democracy any issue should be allowed debate. But it appears that in Harper’s Canada this issue is verboten or forbidden by the “great leader.”  See also the article, “Canada’s Charnel Houses” where 491 babies were born alive after abortions but were left to die. [5] Could we call these atrocities “fundamental Canadian values?” But hey, according to the Harper government we have “human rights!” It is a wonder most of these politicians don’t choke on their own hypocrisy!

Rule of Law:
Are the words “rule of law” just mere cynical words from the Harper government? I mentioned earlier, 491 babies were born alive after surviving abortion In Canada but were left to die. So far no charges have been laid in these atrocities. And Mr. Harper is quoted as saying this:
“‘I think all members of this House, whether they agree with it or not, understand that abortion is legal in Canada and this government, myself included, have made it very clear that the government does not intend to change the law in this regard,’ he said during question period Thursday” [6]
Still Mr. Harper has sympathy for dead ducks. A headline stated: “Dead ducks tar Canada's image, PM says” by John Cotter the Canadian Press, May 2, 2008. The article went on to quote Mr. Harper as saying: "I'm not here to make any excuses for the particular event that occurred over the last few days. It is a terrible event. It is not going to do anybody's image any good," (http://oilsandstruth.org/dead-ducks-tar-canada039s-image-pm-says  )

In closing one can only say based on the evidence on what is happening here in Canada hypocrisy appears to be the forte of this supposed “conservative” government and many other politicians in Canada.   Freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law look good on paper but in practice they all are victims of human rights commissions, and political and judicial BS. Meanwhile most of the political class and most of the media continue to accept the abominations heaped upon our once great country and its people. God help us all, oops can you still say that, in this Country?

Now a final word from the “great leader” himself, and don’t laugh!
“In the face of these injustices and atrocities, Canada will not be silent.”
Prime Minister Stephen Harper The Epoch Times, February 21, 2013 [7]

Yeah sure, Mr Harper, the cowardly silence from you and other politicians and political parties on the issue of free speech and other issues mentioned here is disgraceful.
