There is a country that is
addicted to endless wars
There are those that feed off
blood and gore
Many of the people stand to
attention and salute the flag
While the music plays, and
the brainwashed brag
Sadly sons and daughters are
killed, and some are maimed
Obeying orders from the
warmongering insane
People in other countries get
slaughtered as well
As the addicts of war create
destruction and hell
Rubble strewn countries are
victims of bombings
Millions are dead because of the
deadly droppings
Their lands are polluted with
depleted uranium
And children are born with
deformed bodies and craniums
Many soldiers come back from
war with problems and PTSD
Is this the results of being
addicts of war devotees?
Nothing good comes from
killings, death and war
Perhaps the human mind can’t
take all the horror
The carnage and corpses from
all this madness
Is celebrated with flag
waving, instead of sadness
The bands play the national
anthem and the addicted salute
Are the participants in these
gatherings the addicted hooked dupes?
Anybody talking about
stopping the wars insanity
Is attacked by editorialists
and warmongers profanity
They are the attack addicts,
the war dogs that don’t fight
They are the propagandists
that make wrongs into a right
This addiction to war has
cost taxpayers trillions
And the killings and deaths
of victims are in the millions
Yet, there are those that
continue to promote these illegal wars
Should they be called war
criminals and bloodthirsty whores?
Why would any sane persons
celebrate killings and wars?
Or the hells their armies
created on overseas shores
Are we seeing minds that are
sick and afflicted?
By this damnable disease of
the war addicted
“It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished
unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.” – Voltaire
