“If 2016 taught us anything, it is that if the establishment’s hegemony is imperiled, it will come together in ferocious solidarity — for the preservation of their perks, privileges and power....
Donald Trump’s success, despite the near-universal hostility of the media, even much of the conservative media, was due in large part to the public’s response to the issues he raised.” Patrick J. Buchanan, August 12, 2016, The American Conservative.
The scurrilous media hysteria about Donald Trump and its shrieks, howls, and endless barrage of babbling B.S. is a sight to behold. Still, it’s not only the media that is going bananas. Some of the “national security” establishment in a letter have criticized him also. Trump replied to them by saying this:
“The names on this letter are the ones the American people should look to for answers on why the world is a mess, and we thank them for coming forward so everyone in the country knows who deserves the blame for making the world such a dangerous place. They are nothing more than the failed Washington elite looking to hold onto their power, and it’s time they are held accountable for their actions.”

When one sees the state of the world today, one has to agree with Mr. Trump that those who were or are in positions of power need to be ‘held accountable for their actions.’
I believe, for to long, the words “national security,” have been used to keep people in the dark about what is really going on. All kinds of atrocities and acts can be hidden by using those words and make us all “prisoners of the system.”
Another former member of the CIA and a supporter of the system also criticized Mr. Trump. An article in the “Unz Review” headlined:
"I Ran the CIA" Man Piles on Trump
Michael Morell "Calls it like he sees it." Or does he?
Article by Philip Giraldi August 9, 2016, said this:
“Michael Morell is, in fact, a product of Washington groupthink and a major beneficiary of Establishment politics, the very tradition that Hillary Clinton represents. Many readers have no doubt seen his serious, somewhat intense gaze as a television expert on terrorism. His career trajectory depends on there being major threats to the United States and this requires him to be constantly searching for enemies. Morell has covered for Hillary in the past, most notably over Benghazi where he altered the talking points of his Congressional testimony to make CIA’s assessment closer to Clinton’s version of events. That he has attached himself to the Hillary Clinton campaign should surprise no one.... Morell, also a CIA torture apologist and a George Tenet protégé, was deeply involved in many of the intelligence failures that preceded and followed 9/11....” Philip Giraldi, August 9. 2016, The Unz Review.
And an article at Consortium News of August 11, 2016 headlined: ‘Sage’ Advice That’s Nuttier Than Trump by Larry Johnson, had this to say:
“Mike Morell’s performance as CIA Director and his subsequent efforts to portray himself as a sage voice in the foreign policy arena borders on criminal negligence and utter incompetence....
With respect to Syria I will repeat a point I have made previously. Part of the blame for the bloody civil war there lies with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and has been made more deadly and bloody because Obama/Clinton helped provide weapons and training to radical Islamists. Come to think of it, Mike Morell was part of that process. Besides calling into question his judgment let me add to the bill of particulars that he also is a war criminal.... I suppose there is one bit of good news with respect to Morell – he resigned from CBS as a talking head and we won’t have to listen to his bullshit as much (I hope). Let’s put the former Director of the CIA up against Trump and what Trump is saying. Morell favors actions that could provoke a war with a nuclear-armed Russia and Trump wants to have a better relationship with Russia. So you tell me: Who is the real reckless, dangerous moron?” Larry Johnson, Consortium News, August 11, 2016.
In closing, when one sees the “big shots” of the system, the corporate media and those who claim to “know best” what is good for the world, criticize Donald Trump, one has to ask: “Do they have something to hide”?
Therefore, I ask: “Are the Establishment Terrified of Getting Trumped”?
